I am currently working for the Walt Disney Company. During my time here I have been part of two different divisions: Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media and the Disney Animation Studios. Both roles have been quite challenging and rewarding.
Disney Consumer Products & Interactive Media
I am currently working at Disney as an applications software engineer in the business intelligence group where I have been building tools and applications for data exploration, meta data content management systems, Web services for data access and consumption, web applications for data visualization, and designing work flows for the processing of mobile and social games data analytics.
Disney Animation Studios
During my time at the Disney Animation Studios I had the amazing opportunity to be part of the group building of a new experimental studio focusing on motion capture technologies to create photorealistic animated films in a time where motion capture, match moving camera tracking, and virtual sets were evolving technologies in their early stages.

In the studio I worked as a software applications engineer developing media file based workflows for the production of stereoscopic imagery, and in-house tools integrating and enhancing data modeling and simulation animation platforms. My most relevant projects involved developing tools and solutions in applications such as Maya, 3Ds Max and Nuke to extend and implement features for 3D animation, bitmap manipulation, encoding of media and integration with back-end queuing systems to process and render feature film quality stereoscopic image plates.
I was in two production crews producing the following films:
Both of these films employ motion capture technologies and are developed in full virtual environments. Live action sequences were shot in a motion capture studio in Los Angeles. The production of virtual environments, animation and camera tracking during the pre-production and post-production stages were done in studio in San Francisco and Burbank.
